On April 28th, Ag-West Bio and the Ministry of Agriculture (Trade and Value-Add Branch and Research Branch) collaborated on an event to bring Saskatchewan research area experts face to face with industry.
Meet your Match! Science Solutions for Value Added Agriculture was an opportunity for University researchers to explain how they can support value-added businesses by solving technical challenges.
Invited researchers ‘pitched’ their programs, followed by speed networking where companies and researchers could explore potential collaborations. After the pitches and closing remarks, most participants stayed to continue the conversations.
Participating researchers were Michael Nickerson, Martin Reaney, Yongfeng Ai, Jafar Soltan, Takuji Tanaka, Rex Newkirk, Peiqiang Yu, Bishnu Acharya, Lee Wilson, Denise Stilling.
