Smart Paddock is an Australian company with an innovative solution for the cattle industry. The company makes GPS ear tags to track cattle, and thanks to connections they made at a virtual Ag-West Bio event, the company is bringing its tech to Canada to help cattle producers here with herd management.
Smart Paddock was introduced to the Saskatchewan agriculture community at an Ag-West Boffins Innovation Series event in August, 2021. The introduction led to partnerships between Smart Paddock and several Saskatchewan organizations, including SaskTel and the University of Saskatchewan.
Smart Paddock’s CEO Darren Wolchyn, got together virtually with Jay Robinson, Ag-West Bio’s Chief Operating Officer to talk about Smart Paddock’s cutting edge solution.
