BioTalent Canada, the HR partner of catalyst for growth in Canada’s bio-economy has a long track record of success in managing wage subsidy programs. The Student Work Placement Program alone has placed over 1,500 students.

In an effort to meet the current demands for talent in the industry, BioTalent Canada is looking to place an additional 1,500 students within Canada’s healthcare industry from now to March 2021.

Ag-West Bio and Bioscience Association Manitoba (BAM) are excited to be working with BioTalent Canada, and will be co-hosting a free webinar from 10:00 to 10:30 am CDT on November 5th to provide an overview of the program.

The webinar will focus on how BioTalent Canada’s wage subsidy programs have helped organizations find success in advancing their technologies while helping young talent gain the skills needed to grow the bioscience and healthcare sectors.

Joanne Jordan, Business Development and Partnerships Officer, BioTalent Canada. She is the point of contact in maintaining relationships with the partners and partner’s members. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. With 10+ years of experience in board management, fundraising, and event planning. She has worked with two start-ups in Ottawa including Chief Operating Officer for an online SME. As a STEM grad, with two children in post-secondary school and experience with some of the challenges facing start-ups, she is very passionate about her role at BioTalent Canada and connecting talent to the jobs across Canada.
